Visual Artist, Metal Artist and producer Johanna Sinkkonen (1983) fearlessly combines different fields of art, thus breaking the norms of everything. Her way of working combines methods from community, site-specific and media art, creating art across genres.
Johanna’s works have been at various festivals and exhibitions both in Finland and abroad.
Sinkkonen recycles materials as much as possible, and the artist often seeks material inspiration from flea markets. Johanna’s way of working often differs from the common gallery scene and that’s why she is also looking for new alternative ways of exhibit her work to the public.
Sinkkonen’s orientation in the field of community art and applied art is motivated by an interest in influencing society and a desire to take art processes to places where they are not usually experienced.
